General information, not financial advice
Thousand A Month (the YouTube series, this site, the emails, the free Thousand Planner and the paid Year One Workbook) explains how common money mechanics work: how a paycheck shrinks between gross and net, how card interest and minimum payments add up, how a payoff order changes the months to zero. Everything here is general information, not financial, tax, legal or investment advice.
- It doesn't know your situation. Your income, debts, taxes, benefits and goals are yours, and the right choice for you may differ from what a story's character does.
- The episodes are animated stories. The rules and rates in them are real and sourced for the year and place each story is set in, and the arithmetic is checked, but a character's choices are not recommendations.
- Rules change and vary. Tax thresholds, contribution limits, interest rates and consumer protections change each year and differ by state and country. Check the current figure with the official source (for US topics, for example the IRS, the CFPB or your state) before acting on it.
- The spreadsheets do arithmetic. The Planner and the Workbook calculate from the numbers you type in. They do not check those numbers, and they are not a substitute for your bank, card or loan statements.
- No investment content. Nothing here recommends a stock, fund, coin, broker, card or loan, and no result in any story counts market growth.
- Your decisions are yours. For advice on your own situation, talk to a qualified, licensed professional, such as a financial adviser, an accountant or a tax adviser where you live.
We are not a bank, broker, investment adviser, tax adviser, credit counselor or law firm, and nothing on this site creates a client relationship with Axenor Consulting to fill: full registered legal name or anyone else.
