How Thousand A Month makes money
So you know who pays for what:
- Our own product. The Year One Workbook is ours. We make money when you buy it. The Thousand Planner is free and stays free.
- YouTube. Once the channel is in the YouTube Partner Program, YouTube shares ad revenue with us. Advertisers in YouTube's ads do not choose or see our scripts.
- Sponsors. We have none today. If a video is ever sponsored, it will say so in the video and in its description, and YouTube's paid-promotion label will be on.
- Affiliate links. We have none today. If we ever add one, the link will be labeled as an affiliate link where it appears. We will never use affiliate links for brokers, investment products, credit cards, loans or crypto.
Fiscalpoint (UK and Europe stories only)
Some later stories set in the UK or Europe include a move abroad. Those stories may link to Fiscalpoint, a firm that helps people with relocation and tax in Cyprus. Wherever that link appears (in the description, the pinned comment and on our /move page), it sits next to this sentence:
"Fiscalpoint pays us a referral fee if you become a client, and one of us works there."
Every video with a Fiscalpoint link or mention has YouTube's paid-promotion box ticked. US stories never mention or link Fiscalpoint. The character in a story never names the firm.
A referral fee never changes what a story says about the cost of a move: the stories price it honestly, including what the character gives up.
